BLACKPINK, Jungkook, Stray Kids And TXT Premiata Agli MTV Video Music Awards 2023

Gli MTV Video Music Awards 2023 si sono svolti al Prudential Center nel New Jersey, con Nicki Minaj che ha ospitato l’evento per il secondo anno consecutivo.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER è diventato il primo gruppo Kpop ad assicurarsi un trofeo alla premiazione. Hanno vinto il premio Push Performance of the Year con la loro title track “Sugar Rush Ride” dal loro mini-album “The Name Chapter: Temptation”, pubblicato a gennaio.

I TXT si sono anche con la loro nuova canzone “Back for More” insieme alla pop star brasiliana Anitta. Questo ha segnato la loro prima esibizione in un importante show di premiazione negli Stati Uniti. Oltre alla loro vittoria come Push Performance of the Year, il gruppo è stato nominato in un’altra categoria ai VMA del 2023, tra cui Best KPop.

Gli Stray Kids hanno vinto il Best K-op con la loro title track “S-Class” dal loro terzo album ★★★★★ (5-STAR). Hanno gareggiato contro BLACKPINK, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, aespa, FIFTY FIFTY e SEVENTEEN.

Gli Stray Kids sono saliti sul palco come artisti ai VMA per la prima volta dal loro debutto, presentando la loro nuova canzone “S-Class” al pubblico americano.

Anche le BLACKPINK e Jungkook hanno ottenuto premi. L’amato membro dei BTS si è assicurato il premio Song of Summer con “Seven (feat. Latto)”, segnando la sua seconda vittoria consecutiva in questa categoria dopo la sua vittoria nel 2022 con il brano collaborativo “Left and Right” al fianco di Charlie Puth. Le BLACKPINK hanno vinto il premio Gruppo dell’anno e la Miglior Coreografia, segnando la prima volta in 24 anni che un gruppo femminile ha vinto il premio Best Group ai VMA, dopo la vittoria delle TLC nel 1999.

MTV ha annunciato ufficialmente i candidati di quest’anno per quattro Video Music Awards: Song of Summer, Show of the Summer, Group of the Year e Album of the Year.

Jungkook dei BTS, TXT e FIFTY FIFTY hanno ottenuto tutti le nomination per Song of Summer: Jungkook per il suo singolo di debutto solista ufficiale “Seven” con Latto, TXT per la loro collaborazione con i Jonas Brothers “Do It Like That” e le FIFTY FIFTY per la loro hit virale “Cupid”.

Le BLACKPINK sono state nominate per Show of the Summer per il loro tour mondiale “BORN PINK”.

Infine, BLACKPINK, FIFTY FIFTY, NewJeans, SEVENTEEN e TXT hanno tutti ottenuto nomination come Gruppo dell’anno.

Le BLACKPINK hanno ottenuto il maggior numero di nomination di qualsiasi gruppo quest’anno, essendo state nominate per sei diversi premi: oltre a Show of the Summer e Group of the Year, le BLACKPINK sono state precedentemente nominate per Best Choreography, Best Art Direction, Best Editing e Best K-Pop (tutti per “Pink Venom”).

TXT invece hanno ottenuto il maggior numero di nomination rispetto qualsiasi gruppo Kpop maschile quest’anno, essendo stato nominati in quattro diverse categorie Song of Summer e Group of the Year, Push Performance of the Year e Best KPop (entrambi per “Sugar Rush Ride”).

Le FIFTY FIFTY e i SEVENTEEN sono anche in corsa per due premi ciascuno, in quanto sono stati nominati sia per il gruppo dell’anno che per il miglior KPop.

I candidati di quest’anno per il Best KPop sono “Girls” delle aespa, “Pink Venom” delle BLACKPINK, “Cupid” delle FIFTY FIFTY, “Super” dei SEVENTEEN, “S-Class” degli Stray Kids e “Sugar Rush Ride” dei TXT.

Gli MTV Video Music Awards 2023 andranno in onda in diretta il 12 settembre alle 8 p.m. ET, e sia i TXT che gli Stray Kids si esibiranno quest’anno.
