I Fact Music Awards si sono svolti il 12 dicembre come una cerimonia “ontact” (nessun contatto faccia a faccia, trasmessa online)
I precedenti The Fact Music Awards si sarebbero dovuti tenere a febbraio 2020, ma sono stati cancellati a causa della pandemia di COVID-19, anche se i vincitori sono stati annunciati.
Per la terza volta consecutiva, BTS ha ricevuto il Daesang (Gran Premio). Il gruppo ha anche portato a casa trofei per l’artista dell’anno, l’icona mondiale e la scelta dell’ascoltatore. Super Junior ha anche vinto quattro premi: This Year’s Artist, TMA Popularity Award, Fan N Star Choice Award (Singer) e Fan N Star Most Votes Award (Singer).
