Il 5 dicembre, la cerimonia principale dei Melon Music Awards 2020 (MMA 2020) si è svolta senza un pubblico COVID-19 e trasmessa in diretta online.
I Melon Music Awards si sono tenuti nel corso di quattro giorni dal 2 al 5 dicembre. I primi 10 artisti (BTS, BLACKPINK, IZ *ONE, EXO’s Baekhyun,Im Young Woong, Oh My Girl,Kim Ho Joong, Baek Yerin, Zicoe IU) e altre categorie di premi (Rock, Indie, OST, R&B/Soul, Ballad, Rap/Hip-Hop) sono stati annunciati prima della cerimonia principale del 5 dicembre.
Per il secondo anno consecutivo, i BTS hanno conquistato tutti i Daesang (gran premi) con Artista dell’anno, Album dell’anno (“Mappa dell’anima: 7”) e Canzone dell’anno (“Dinamite”).
